Feeling like Noah ...
... or Evan Almighty, take your pick.
Well, we didn't wake up to anything quite exactly like this picture ...
A pipe burst upstairs this morning and thoroughly soaked the upstairs bathroom. Since there's no place for water to go but down, it went through the carpet AND the padding AND the floorboards and created a large pool of water on the other side of our kitchen wall. All in all we had roughly about 1" of water on our kitchen floor.
Several (very wet) hours later, the two of us have managed to sop most of it up and set up a fan to try to dry the rest.
How is it that pipes only break on Saturdays ????

I concur with the idea that pipes only burst on Saturdays. My parents had water in their basement on a Saturday that took forever to stop seeping in!
