Jazz Manouche in Lunel
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jazz_manoucheWhat's best to finish a good week end than a Jazz Festival?
We decided to drive to Lunel to enjoy an outside Jazz concert and totally enjoyed it!
A visit in the countryside ...
Today we visited a winery in the countryside which had a vineyard museum explaining how things were done back in the day. Very interesting machinery !
This is a wagon used back in the day for pesticides.

An old winepress :) I can just see Lucy now ! ... Remember that episode ?:)

The museum/shop entrance ... along with the retired tractor from Chicago !

The grand entrance of the Chateau.

The green-ness of the fields.

This year's crop are looking good !

Grapes are a good size ... had to put Heidi in the picture to show you the proper scale ;)

How to spend your Saturday evening in the south of France ;)
Walking along the port city of Carnon we happened upon this poster, announcing the Miss Languedoc-Roussillon contest in the evening. Ok, ok. So we knew about it beforehand, and decided to go anyway. Getting there too early, we did have a great walk around the port, and ate some tremendous kebabs (sorry, no picture because they were so good we never put them down to pull out the camera) .... mouth-watering to the last bite !!
We then managed to stand around for an hour while they presented Miss France 2006 (who is also Miss Languedoc-Roussillon from last year as well), and prior Misses from different nearby regions from years past (when time forgot them :P), and then the 12 contestants for the evening. It was a first. Something that we were around for, and thus, stuck around to find out how the life of those pageant girls could be. ... Well, at least contestant #11 had an interesting "dress" ...............

Patriotic day, Bolivia's Independence Day
Today's a special day: Bolivia's Independence Day. ... As well as Tia Cookie's birthday in New Zealand, and Marcelle Guenin's birthday in France :) Happiness all over the world :)
Well, we decided to go to the botanical gardens in Montpellier with the Bolivian flag in the back window :)

This one's just interesting :) A shot that Matt didn't want to miss.

Where the heck is Matt?
Well, that's another Matt :(
We did travel quite a lot but not to that extend, and I never though of dancing in front of each monument we visited. Go and check Matt's web site (the other Matt)

Your Matt is still in France with his lovely wife.
